Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is an American actor and singer. Her parents are Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier and both are television news directors. Bell was raised and from Huntington Woods Michigan. Kristen is Polish (mother's) and German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen was already a talented entertainer at an early stage. Her audition was in 1992 and was offered an appearance on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent prior to her turning 13, and she was subsequently cast in television advertisements for newspapers and commercials. Also, she began acting lessons in private at that time. Bell had a role that was not credited of Polish Wedding (1998), a film released in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School where she took part in musical as well as drama. The Wizard of Oz production at the high school she attended earned her the role of the lead Dorothy role. After graduation Bell made the move into New York City to attend the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts in which she was a musical theater student. The year 2001 was the time Bell quit her university in order to play the role of Becky on Tom Sawyer. In 2001, it was also that Bell's first appearance in a film that was credited to her, Pootie Tang (2002). However, her part has been cut out and only the credits depict her. Bell was in the Broadway revival The Crucible starring Liam Neeson & Angela Bettis.
