Cynthia Ann Crawford was born on the 20th of February, 1966. She is an American model, actress, and television personality. In the 1980s and 1990s she was among the most popular supermodels , and was a regular on magazine covers and runways and fashion campaigns. She subsequently expanded into acting and business ventures. She was contacted in her sophomore year from a local clothes shop asking her to model. It was viewed as an ill-informed joke made by two of her peers. Crawford was offered a job by a different retailer the following year to model for them. They also held an event for fashion. Roger Legel, a local photographer approached Crawford to shoot her. He was in charge of taking a picture of another college girl for DeKalb Nite Weekly. Crawford became the first photo shoot. The positive feedback and the photo encouraged her to take up modeling. Initially, she worked with an agency of a smaller size, but was bought by Elite Model Management shortly after she signed. When she was 17 years old, she participated in Elite's Look of the Year contest and advanced to the finals at national level.
